Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Light Rays

After waking up in the Elkmont Campground at Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Amy told me to go check out the light coming through the trees. It was nice of her to notice the perfect example of why the park has the name that it does. As I fumbled around with the controls of the Canon A520 (my 20D broke last Saturday during a wedding reception–backup camera saved the day!) and framed the picture without the Winebago at camera left, the gentleman walked into the frame. I was momentarily annoyed, but then realized that this was the shot I really wanted.

This is a beautiful picture. I think out of all of your pictures I have seen (and that has been many!) I think this is your best.

    Good job Sir!
