A Day in the Life

I had been planning on taking this picture of Interstate 290 from below for quite some time, but I kept getting sidetracked. I’m glad I did, because when I arrived for this photo, a large group of people were swimming and diving off the pillars. I was very surprised, because I have never thought of it as a good place for swimming (the noise from the traffic above is thunderous but somehow strangely interesting). I wonder if I’ll ever again be able to cross a bridge without thinking about what might be going on unseen underneath. If not trolls, then maybe swimmers.
