Skate Park

Skater

As my daughters and I were leaving Green Hill Park, I noticed a bunch of skaters at the new skate park, so we pulled over and I asked them if they minded me taking some pictures of them. After their initial surprise at my request, they quickly granted permission, and I managed to get a few fairly decent shots in the little time that I had available. I had some good conversations with a couple of the guys I met there, so I plan on spending some more time there in the spring to try to get some even better shots. Now my daughters want skateboards, too!

I love the leopard print pants! I think it is great that your girls want skateboards! (along with helmets I’m sure) Gary and I have been watching the Winter X Games and I bet if they had been around when I was little I would have grown up a much cooler person. (ok- maybe that is a stretch) Just think- spending time with your girls at a skate park may be molding them into future X Game champs.

I was. Right after that, a car drove up behind me and the passenger asked me what I was doing. I explained my project to him, and as it turned out, he was the artist who painted the mural, known as Alliebombz. [...]
