Fadó’s Irish Pub

Monday, January 30th, 2006

The scorekeepers for the Pub Quiz Sunday at Fadó’s, a great Irish Pub if you’re in to that sort of thing. The fish and chips were quite tasty, and I never realized til yesterday that knowing about cricket teams would come in handy.

The Hyatt Atrium

Sunday, January 29th, 2006

I’m at a conference in Chicago at the Hyatt-O’Hare. No Worcester-related pictures this week, of course, but I’ll try to hit some of my favorite Chicago locations if at all possible. The Hyatt, which we lovingly refer to as the Borg Cube, is NOT one of my favorites.

The Old Stone Church on Wachusett Reservoir stands as the lone remnant of the former West Boyston before the site was filled in 1908.

Kitchen Design

Friday, January 27th, 2006

For the last several years, I’ve been shooting the “after” photos for Kitchens By Design, a high-end kitchen design and building company. Pictured here is just one of many taken of the Harringtons’ new kitchen. Shooting interiors is always an interesting challenge because of many factors–reflections, time of day, which ways the windows face, mixed [...]

Abandoned Buggy

Wednesday, January 25th, 2006

As I was walking around the parking garage to the north of the new Central Street Bridge, I looked over and saw this buggy parked in an unused corner. If anyone knows what in the world this is doing there and where it came from, I’d love to hear about it.

Burncoat Park

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

Despite the fact that spring will be here any day now, we received 8.5 inches of snow yesterday, so I trudged out at twilight and took some photos of the snow on the trees at Burncoat Park. Spring will be here any day now. Any day now.

Higgins Armory Museum

Monday, January 23rd, 2006

I played a fair amount of Dungeons and Dragons in grade school and high school, so upon my first of several visits to the Higgins Armory Museum, I couldn’t help but look for secret passages that would lead to the princess who I knew must be hidden away somewhere on the fourth floor. Anyhow, it’s [...]

Skate Park

Sunday, January 22nd, 2006

As my daughters and I were leaving Green Hill Park, I noticed a bunch of skaters at the new skate park, so we pulled over and I asked them if they minded me taking some pictures of them. After their initial surprise at my request, they quickly granted permission, and I managed to get a [...]
